Why you don't want your water to be fluoridated? I object to having this additive forced onto everyone simply because some children haven't been taught or care to use good dental hygiene. This govt wants to nanny everyone and bring everything down to the lowest common denominator. Give people back the responsibility for their own health and don't poison me for the sake of the minority. People should have a choice. SO50 7AP Gina Brown
It is not safe for human consumption, and is just a cheeky way for the fertilizer industry to get rid of their toxic waste. SO15 5ND Daniel Malcolm
Why you don't want your water to be fluoridated? Don't want to be medicated unnecessarily! SO16 7BT k Hilliker
Why you don't want your water to be fluoridated? Because flouride is a highly toxic chemical that is cumulative in effect over a period of time, in other words the body stores more and more of it as time goes by. BAN IT NOW!!! SO19 9FZ Mr. C.H.F. & P.R. Cox.
Why you don't want your water to be fluoridated? I am totally opposed to mass medication of the population with any drug that is of no material benefit to the majority and is designed to actually treat only a small percentage of the population who could be just as easily treated with individual fluoride tablets if required. Water should be pure and safe for all to drink. SO40 Barbara Saph
I am vehemently against any impostion of medication on the masses without informed consent. Where will this end? Adding vitamins, glucosamine, prozac? SO31 6XR John Webber
There is no valid reason for adding it to the water. In fact evidence I've read suggests it is harmful for us to ingest. I am against forcing something that even has the possibility of being toxic into our water. PLEASE NO! GU2 4AT Catherine Bryant
The fluorosilicic acid used is an industrial chemical and a by product of the phosphate fertiliser industry. SO40 9DA Alan White
Why you don't want your water to be fluoridated? It has not been shown to improve dental health. Education on dental hygiene and better border controls to keep out economic migrants with poor dental health is the answer. SO15 7NS Mark Welford
The addition of any substance to the public water supply is a fundamentally immoral act contravening a universally-accepted right of members of a modern civilised society to drink clean, unadulterated water. Mass compulsory medication by any means also constitutes an assault on every individual subjected to it. I would be opposed to fluoridation even if it was proved beyond doubt that it cured all know cancers. The question is one of fundamental freedom; the benefits or otherwise of the specific substance (in this case fluoride) being added are irrelevant. SO16 7GX John Smith
