Fluoridation and the environment:

Hexafluorosilicic acid is an unwanted industrial grade chemical by-product of the fertiliser and metal industry and contains amongst other substances lead, arsenic and mercury and is highly corrosive.

This substance is what will be used to fluoridate the water in Southampton. The "one part per million" dosage recommended by the SHA will require 112.3 tonnes of hexafluorosilicic acid annually just to fluoridate the Southampton area. As this substance only has to be 98% pure this means that over two tonnes of heavy metals and toxic substances will be also poured into the water supply affecting you and the environment.
